From January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2010, the American Cancer Society will receive 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the book Squeeky and Louie from the author, F.R. Handley.
PITTSBURGH, PA, January 19, 2010 /Books PR News/ -- F.R. Handley is the author of Squeeky and Louie, an endearing children's tale. Linda Handley, F. R. Handley's daughter, loved the adventures of Squeeky and Louie that her father read to her when she was a little girl. When she decided to find new ways to support the American Cancer Society (ACS), publishing her father's story seemed to be the answer. "My life has been touched by cancer many times. I had just attended a benefit for Congressman Doyle (D - PA). He is a pioneer for cancer legislation. After the event, I knew that I had to find additional ways to support the American Cancer Society. My eyes fell on my father's book on my bookshelf. I decided I would get Squeeky and Louie published and offer the proceeds to ACS," Linda explained.
Linda published Squeeky and Louie, her father's beloved childhood tale with the help of publisher AuthorHouse and is donating all the net proceeds to ACS. Squeeky and Louie is a children's tale about two little gray mice and their adventures with Gus the Cat. "What are little, loving mice going to do when they want to come out and play?
