Author & Artist brings back the 'magic' to the holidays

Author reminds people not to get stressed out and instead, enjoy the magic of the holidays

SASKATOON, SK, CANADA, December 18, 2010 /Books PR News/ -- At this hectic time of year, it's easy to get lost in the chaos around us and forget how special the holidays are. As we clamour around in a virtual daze trying to get ourselves ready, we often forget to appreciate the wondrousness that surrounds us at Christmastime. It's a kind of everyday magic that we often miss during our day-to-day activities. And in her recently released book, The Magical Horses: A Journey of Adventure, Mystery & Hope, author Beate Epp invites readers to embark on a voyage to help them rediscover some of that everyday magic.
"It amazes me that people actually get stressed out around Christmas, a time for such joy and peace! We all need to remember to bring that 'magic' back into the holiday season," says Epp. "I feel like The Magical Horses is an allegory for the season - a reminder that we need to bring back that sense of wonderment at the sights and sounds of Christmas. Just like Kiran uncovers magic in a simple notebook, we can uncover beauty and magic in the simplest of things at this time of year!"
The Magical Horses centers on nine-year-old Kiran, a young boy who is uprooted and finds himself living in a new town, very much isolated from the world he knew. But upon discovering his grandfather's notebook and his life takes an exciting turn. Mysteriously words and stories begin to appear on the page and Kiran sets out on a wondrous journey that changes the way he sees the world around him. Through Kiran's tale, Epp reminds her readers to seek out things to marvel about in our every day lives. It's a lesson she thinks is especially important at this time of year.
The Magical Horses is a story that is beautifully illustrated for both the young, and the young at heart to bring us all a little 'magic' this Christmas. Epp recently completed a cross-Canada tour with her book and is planning more signings in the new year.
