Kaye F. Long's expertise is as a K-12 Reading Specialist

    HERTFORD, NC, December 8, 2010 /Books PR News/ -- Kaye F. Long, Self-Employed Christian Author, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.

With 15 years of professional experience, Mrs. Long attributes her success to her family values and their support. At her current post, she is responsible for editing, sourcing and conducting research for her book. She is currently writing, "From Tragedy To Triumph: A Devotional to Strengthen Your Faith Through the Challenges of Life," about her mother and grandmother who died three days apart from one another. Prior to her current position, she worked as an elementary cultural arts teacher from 1996-2002.

Mrs. Long earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 1996 from East Carolina University. In 2001, she received the Teacher of the Year Award from Perquimans County Schools in North Carolina. In 2002-2003, Mrs. Long trained and received her certification as a Reading Recovery Teacher from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She taught Reading Recovery for the next six years of her teaching career before she returned to teach music. In 2007, Mrs. Long received her Master's Degree in Reading from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. A certified K-12 reading specialist, she is a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators, the Reading Recovery Council of North America, the National Educators Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
