Marstan Press Listed Within Print Week Top 500 for 2010

During a year of tough trading conditions throughout the UK, Marstan Press have been listed within the top 500 print companies and have seen turnover increase.

KENT, ENGLAND, December 02, 2010 /Books PR News/ -- The annual Print Week Top 500 has been released, with Marstan Press once again featuring in the list of the UK's 500 largest print companies. 2010 has been another year of carnage in the printing industry with a plethora of large well established companies going into administration, including The Print Factory London, Piggott Black Bear, BemroseBooth and Cromwell Press. The year has also seen a number of large companies, particularly web houses decommissioning some of their presses to reduce capacity.

For the year 2009-10, Marstan Press increased its turnover by 1.81% to achieve a record turnover of GBP4,552,000, which saw us rank 354th out of the 10,000 or so litho printing companies and digital printers in the UK. Our results bucked the trend for companies in our turnover bracket, with similar sized companies seeing their turnovers decrease by 2.43% on average.

The Print Week Top 500 also has a number of other rankings, which saw Marstan come in at 344th based on operating profit and 277th based on Return on Capital Employed.

Martin Lett Jnr, Director, says: "The results are pleasing especially when the industry and the wider economy is in such a weak state."

Marstan Press are an FSC Certified Litho and Digital Printer, providing print services for clients throughout the UK.
