Oldham County Publisher, Otherworld Publications, will be a part of the "Meet the Publishers" panel at FandomFest at the Fern Valley Convention Center in Louisville, KY on July 22, 2011 at 5:00 PM.
LOUISVILLE, KY, July 20, 2011 /Books PR News/ -- Oldham County Publisher, Otherworld Publications, will be a part of the "Meet the Publishers" panel at FandomFest at the Fern Valley Convention Center in Louisville, KY on July 22, 2011 at 5:00 PM. They will have a booth for each day of the event to showcase their authors. They encourge future authors and fans to stop by.
About Otherworld Publications:
Otherworld Publications opened its doors in 2009 built from a dream by Louisville Author, Lynn Tincher, aka Lynn Calvert. After years of frustration with the publishing industry, several rejection letters, and quite a few headaches, another local publishing company, Blackwyrm Fiction, published Lynn's first novel, Afterthoughts. Since then, her second novel, Left in the Dark, was released from them and she is currently writing the third, Buried Deep.
Wanting to return the favor, Lynn decided to open the doors to Otherworld as another avenue for authors to get their fiction novels published in this difficult climate and help them get their foot in the door of the publishing industry. On July 1, 2010, Otherworld Publications released its first novel, Transubstantiate by Richard Thomas, a Neo-Noir novel with a Sci-Fi feel. In September of 2010, Lynn was diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome, a rare and fatal genetic heart disease, also known as sudden cardiac death. That did not stop her. After surgery in October to have a defibrillator installed, she forged on to continue Otherworld's plan. To date, Otherworld has released eleven books with many more to come!
About FandomFest:
FandomFest started as Fright Night Film Fest in 2005. The Founder Ken Daniels had just arrived back home from living all over the United States. This last stint was the West Coast. Ken wanted to put together what was his life long dream event. A convention/festival that would bring movie lovers together. The first convention Show began in 2006. What started as a small film festival blossomed into a cultural event of ginormous proportions. Each year the team and staff worked hard to had additons to the show. With each addition came growth pains as well, some good some not good. The addition of the Drive-in Event as well as the addition of more shows has made the dream for all fan's come to fruition. FandomFest was hatched in 2008 but wasn't launched until 2010 due to the economy. FANDOMFEST is the dream realized. Where Fantasy and Sci-Fi lovers as well as Horror Geeks and Comic Collectors and Film Lovers of all types can just hang out with Gamers, Authors and Artists of all types. Seeing Celebrities, going to Seminars, Making art, learning new things but especially making new friends for a life time. If the world of Geek and Pop Culture in all it's aspects is for you. The welcome to our event. We like to call it THE GATHERING.
