An entrepreneur for more than two decades, Ms. Ransom-Staton knows that the way to someone's heart is through his or her sweet tooth. Her company, Love's Sweet, is a home-based business that provides sweets and regular meals for individuals in the Glendale area. Ms. Ransom-Staton personally prepares the food that she sells, noting that that she became involved in her profession through her love of cooking. She graduated from the Scottsdale Culinary School in 2008 after earning an associate degree in business administration from Hamilton Business College in 2005.
Ms. Ransom-Staton recently published a cookbook titled, "Recipes Dear to My Heart," which provides just that — instructions for preparing meals that she has had a personal affinity toward throughout her life. Currently, she is writing her second cookbook to share her knowledge with others wishing to cook. For the future, she intends to further her own education and her company.
