After gaining 35 years of experience in education, he resigned from his last university position to create Lessons for Your Journey, Inc. He has since accrued five years of experience at the helm of the organization, which is a consulting and public speaking firm. An expert in organizational consulting, public speaking, and personal and professional leadership coaching, he is responsible for overseeing organizational consulting and leadership development, sourcing companies, conducting workshops and seminars, engaging individuals and groups in personal and professional success coaching, and overseeing all daily operations and functions.
A published author, Dr. Poole has written four books: "Lessons from the Porch: A Gathering Place for Telling Our Stories," "Lessons from the Crossroads: Finding My Authentic Path," "Lessons from Empowering Leaders: Real Life Stories to Inspire Your Organization Toward Greater Success," and "60 Going on Fifty: The Baby Boomers' Memory Book." He is certified to facilitate the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People program and the First Things First time management program, as taught to him by the Covey Leadership Center. He is a member of the Academy for Staff Developers, the National Staff Development Council, and the American Society for Training & Development.
