    NEW LONDON, MN, July 26, 2011 /Books PR News/ -- Gary M. Green, Treatment Director of Woodland Centers and Author of "In Pursuit of Joy," has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in behavioral health recovery management.

After successfully recovering from depression and an alcohol addiction, Mr. Green realized that he could use what he learned and pass it on to other individuals facing the same struggles. He has now spent 16 years helping others to recover from mental illness and addictions with positivity and strength. As the treatment director of Woodland Centers, he meets with patients and oversees the residential treatment for adults with mental illness and chemical dependency. He also teaches mindfulness practices.

Mr. Green, a former president of the Minnesota Association of Mental Health Residential Facilities, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1987 from St. Cloud State University. He also holds certification as an Illness Management and Recovery trainer. Prior to joining Woodland Centers, Mr. Green worked as a director and mental health practitioner for St. Francis Halfway House, a supervisor for Kindlehope, Inc., and a behavior analyst.
